This UGA grad was majorly fangirling when I met former Bulldog QB and NFL player Jake Fromm backstage before appearing on Atlanta News First for National Pecan Month. Jake was there promoting his outdoor gear company, BCKR. He’s from Warner Robins — just down the road from my hometown in Eastman — so he knows the correct pronunciation: PEE-CAN. (Sorry, not sorry.) Turns out his wife, Caroline Fromm, has a fantastic Instagram feed with recipes — including pecan turtles (follow her at @fromm.scratch). Naturally, I tossed him a bag of our Stuckey's glazed pecans for her to use. Of course… he caught it. When the quarterback says PEE-CAN, the debate is officially over.
